10 years of standing ovations with Kaye Trainor

In 2019, Melbourne Recital Centre celebrates 10 years of standing ovations with our music-loving audiences. Kaye Trainor shares her favourite memories from her 10 years of concert-going to the Centre.

It is always a pleasure to attend the Centre - the warmth and professionalism of all staff across the venue is wonderful.

To hear the beauty of the human voice and musical instruments in concert in such a superb venue keeps me coming back. I love the intimacy of sound in the Primrose Potter Salon and the Elisabeth Murdoch Hall.

One of many highlights has been The Sixteen conducted by Harry Christopher – the exquisite vocal beauty and control of the singers was remarkable.

In 2019 I am anticipating a wonderful program of artists and even thinking of some ‘left of field’ choices. I have been introduced to such a variety of artists and music and feel we are very privileged to have Melbourne Recital Centre here in Melbourne. It has truly created a gift of music to our city.

The Sixteen returns to Melbourne Recital Centre in March 2019 to perform An Immortal Legacy
